I’ve always liked Pooh and Piglet and Eeyore, too.
I’d bet you’d also like the “wisdom” of Charles Macksey’s The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse. The book can be read cover to cover or just randomly. There are gems on nearly every page. The artwork is gorgeous and the words are written in calligraphy. I liked it so much that I got copies for my family one year.
He’s got a new one out, but I haven’t gotten it yet. But I bet it is as just as good. ~Nan

Have you read James Norbury’s Big Panda and Tiny Dragon? It reminded me a lot of The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse. It is full of heart and charm. I got it from the library, but may buy a copy to always have around.

Your recommended book, Emsch the Mensch—I will definitely look for as I liked Charlie Mackesy’s sequel a lot! AND James Norbury’s “Big Panda and Tiny Dragon” sounds like another charming and delightful book!

Oh, I will have to check out Big Panda and Tiny Dragon, but that title definitely sounds familiar to me. Since I am the steward of the Children’s LFL at our local park, I may have seen (and read) the book in the past. I generally buy all the weeded/culled children’s books from the local library’s book sale each year at the end so that I can stock the LFL throughout the year. Before I put any of them in, I wipe the covers down with alcohol to keep down germs and read through them to make sure they are still in good shape, fixing small tears, etc. Because of that, I read most of the books. However, I will never part with my Macksey books. ~Nan

My bookstore has it and will be able to pick it up tomorrow! Looking forward to reading and enjoying it. It was definitely a best seller as Bolen’s just got in a new supply 🙂
